Coda has built-in FTP (it uses the same FTP engine as Panic’s top Transmit app). It supports Subversion for version control and it is extensible both with AppleScript and third-party plugins. It gives coding hints as you type (great if you can’t quite remember the syntax for that php function!). Whilst coding HTML it can validate on the fly. To begin with, it’s a text editor based on the popular SubEthaEdit text engine, it features syntax modes for ActionScript, ASP-HTML, CFML, CSS, ERB, HTML, Java, Javascript, JSP-HTML, LassoScript-HTML, Objective-J, Perl, PHP-HTML, Python, Ruby, Smarty, SQL & XML and additional syntax modes can be added. It’s not quite a full IDE, but it does a lot and makes what it does do very easy. To make it easy to backup your library, Fontcase adds a new export feature that is smart enough to do only incremental backups of your library including any metadata in a universal XML file we have no intention of locking you in.Finally on to the coding! I’m currently using Coda from Panic. Fontcase 1.5 helps by automatically warning you whenever this occurs and it'll let you disable one of them easily. It desirable to avoid activating the same font multiple times and yet it's easy to get this wrong. If they're not present in the library, Fontcase will automatically import them. As of version 1.5, Fontcase will now also periodically check the standard font folders to see if any fonts have been added lately. Fontcase will automatically activate any missing fonts and also deactivate them again when Fontcase quits.

Fontcase 1.5 adds auto-activation, duplicates-detection and more while still keeping the focus of the application simple. Fontcase has an intuitive and uncluttered interface while it may look simplistic, there are a lot features built in.
